Celebrate Halloween Season with
the Undead at the 7th Annual Event

Long Beach, CA...The 7th Annual Long Beach Zombie Walk,
a Halloween celebration with the undead, will take place October 24,
25 and 26 at Rainbow Lagoon, located at 400-403 Shoreline Village
Drive, Long Beach, CA 90802. Festival hours are Friday from 5:00pm to
11:00pm, Saturday from Noon to 11:00pm and Sunday from Noon to

Join hordes of rotting revelers for an annual zombie outbreak, a three day invasion of undead music, film, horror and cult vendors. The apocalyptic festival features over a dozen bands, outdoor screenings of classic zombie movies, games, exhibitors, contests, ghoulish attractions, food and libations for all ages. The event opens with a Zombie Prom night, the infamous Zombie Walk at 7:00pm on Saturday and a Zombie Childrens day on Sunday. Make-up artists will be stationed throughout the event for zombie transformations or come as you are for a free souvenir E-photo with admission.
Fridays opening highlight is the Zombie Prom and dapper undead dress is encouraged. It also features the coronation of the Zombie Prom King and Queen. Attractions include a screening of director Edgar Wrights 2004 Zombie comedy, Shaun of the Dead, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost at 9:00pm. The band lineup is accordionist and blues artist Count Smokula at 5:00pm, mutant band Radio Active Chicken Heads at 7:00pm and wacky radio host, Dr. Demento, headling at 8:00pm.
Saturdays musical acts include garage punkers The Goblyns at 1:00pm, metal rockers Evile Annie at 2:00pm, The Rhythm Coffin, a monster rock and roll band at 3pm, the septet Skapeche Mode at 4:00pm, Frankenstein, a rock punk and swamp blues band, at 5:00pm and metal punk Haunted Garage at 6:00pm. The famous Zombie Walk will take place at 7:00pm, followed by Zombies Ate My Nation at 8:00pm, an electronic industrial rock band. Closing the festival is a screening, at 9:00pm, of George Romeros 1968 cult classic Night of the Living Dead, which is considered by many to be the beginning of all modern Zombie films.
Sunday is Zombie Childrens Day with a costume contest especially for the under twelve crowd. The musical lineup is alternative garage rock band, Fungus Finkelstein, at 1:00pm, pop band The Gunning
Ghosts at 2:00pm, psychedelic punkers Roosterhead at 3:00pm, the post punk Latin duo !Aparato! at 4:00pm, the gutter glam band Popsical at 5:00pm. Demonic rockers Bellhaunts take the stage at 6:00 followed by hometown favorites, an alternative punk brother and sister act, The Potential Lunatics at 7:00pm.
Other spooky attractions, for Saturday and Sunday include the haunted walk-through Terror Trucks. Buried Alive creeps you through a grave yard and Cold Storage pits you against frozen Zombies. Sunday only is the exciting high action Vendetta Pro Wrestlers featuring explosive matches pitting Monsters versus Zombies.
Daily attractions include a gaming truck with arcade consoles and vendors selling dead and undead merchandise, along with festival food favorites and other tasty treats.
The Zombie Walk is co-produced by O Entertainment, Inc., one of the West Coasts premiere amusement companies with annual events that include The Long Beach Crawfish, BBQ and Original Lobster festivals.
Proceeds benefit the Long Beach Cinematheque, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching, connectiing and educating communities through the art of cinema, and The Frida Cinema, the Cinematheques permanent home for art house programming.
