Blazers A' Blazing Fashion Friday

So I've decided to talk about the essential fall wardrobe piece, the blazer. Many collections debuted a strong image of a combined use of neutral and achromatic colors to comprise its Spring/Summer Runway show for 2011. A strong piece that was represented was the blazer. I pick one of the most iconic pieces for a man, that has been translated into women's fashion initially by the great YSL, only because a great blazer can have so many uses in the day to day life of a women. It just works for a mommy in the go! I recommend having at lease one style in a dressy fabric and one style in a casual fabric, because you can utilize this item in so many different ways.
If you’re not required to wear a suit to work, (the difference between a suit jacket and a blazer, is that a blazer is its own piece. A suit jacket is cut from the same bolt of fabric as the slacks and vest it came with) then a blazer, dark denim and a nice blouse can leave a lasting impression on most.

If you’re going to a lunch date, or business meeting, the blazer can be utilized as an accent piece to create a more formal atmosphere. A black blazer, sleeves pulled up, with dark denim and a bold colored dress shirt or blouse can give you an extra edge on impressing a potential client or contact. For a casual look, and for the daring momma, it can be paired with a suited short.

If you’re heading out for a night on the town, wearing a blazer over your favorite dress can give it an edgy funky look, or pair it with a cute blouse and some shorts.
