Annie's a HO-Bag

Over this past year as the Tech Monkey has morphed from a boy to a manboy our interactions have changed. It used to be that we would talk more in the car and around the dinner table and not really "hang out." The manboys had their shows to watch and Agent Daddy and I had ours.  So the change started last summer with my Tech Monkey discovering USA network. He has now decided that he likes pretty  much anything they put out and wants to watch all their shows with me. There are only two that we agree to disagree on. White Collar and Covert Affairs.

Tech Monkey likes White Collar, likes the characters and the story lines. Me not so much. I don't actively dislike the show but I would never choose to watch it on my own. On the other hand, I love Cover Affairs and Tech Monkey usually will leave the room when I watch it. Because of this rift I usually DVR Covert Affairs and watch it when he is not around. The other day however he wandered into my room and sat on the bed while I was watching Covert Affairs. He had not really watched it since last summer so when he realized that Annie was now in love with the Russian spy he said "Wait a minute. What happened to Ben? Wasn't he the love of her life. The reason she became a spy?"
"Yes. But that was last season. Ben is gone now and she is in love with this guy." I answered pausing the recording.
" But wasn't she in love with Augie too?"
" Yes but that has been unrequited."
" Mom Annie sleeps with every guy she meets."
"No, she didn't sleep with the Isreali agent."
"Mom, Annie is a HoBag."
" Sweetie I think you are right, Annie is a Ho Bag." I mean really if techie brought home a girl who had slept with as many guys in a years as Annie has on TV I would not be at all happy. Tech Monkey however is now overjoyed with himself that he has found someone he can call a Ho Bag and I did not get mad at him. So for the last few days, several times a day tech Monkey walks up to me and says" Mom, Annie is a Ho Bag." then walks away giggling. It is all I can do to pretend that I am not laughing too.
