Its Birthday Season!!!

It starts right before Labor Day weekend with my brother and niece's birthdays. They are exactly one week apart. I believe my  brother bribed the doctor to be sure my niece was born in August.  Two weeks later Agent Daddy's birthday. Three weeks after that Tech Monkey and my nephew one day apart. Nine days later my cousin with Halloween 12 days later. My Dads birthday the next day. Then my birthday, Thanksgiving, my parents anniversary and Christmas. I barely have time to get gifts for every one for every event. The kids birthday card invitations have been hardest of all. Do I buy them all at once and  use them when needed so I don't have to run to the store in the middle of birthday season? Do I make both boys have the same theme?

I think I have found a way to avoid it all together. I have decided to just sit them in front of the computer and let them make their own invitations. They are more talented than I on the computer. I have color ink and they can choose whatever theme they want. Come to think of it maybe around the first of August, when I am more than ready for them to be back at school, I can tie them to the computer and have them make invitations and Birthday cards for the whole family. Even better they can make the Mothers Day,  Fathers Day, Valentines Day, and Easter cards while they are at it.

Oh! I can rent them out to the neighbors and have them make their cards too! Oh  Why did I not think of this during the summer when they were fighting over XBOX and computer time? You don't think my neighbors would call CPS on me for making the boys work 15 hours a day to meet the deadline I imposed on a whim? I think any one who had to enure 4 straight months of Birthdays and Holiday's would understand my need to find a system and get the kids crack a lackin' on it.

Well gotta go I am having the kids make fliers to pass out to the neighbors outlining their new skill in invitation and Birthday card making

  1. Fliers....the neighbors are going to love you! I can't stand it when people use scotch tape on my front door. I guess they think it would be better to mess up the front of my door rather than make a smudge on my window with their tape....LOL

  2. Better if you have the invitations tattooed on the neighbors' forearms or something. You can call them "skinvitations" :)

Wow, a neverending string of celebrations for you. How exciting! And stressful at the same time. Good luck :)

  4. September was birthday season in my family! Something about those holidays... Teaching your kids to work is a good thing, right? So no need to call CPS, you're actually one step closer to mother of the year.
