Disney Dreamers Academy 2014

The Army had the amazing opportunity to to spend the day with a bunch of DREAMERS. Well Disney Dreamers Academy. Disney Dreamers Academy was created in 2007. It targets High School Students ages 13-19 to participate in hands on workshops, mentoring and inspirational sessions, networking special entertainment, and (of course!) fun at Walt Disney World Resorts Theme Parks. As an added bonus, students work with established professionals and celebrities relevant to their career interests.

Only 100 Dreamers are selected each year by a panel of judges. Students compete for participation in the program by submitting an application and essay. The teens, along with a parent or guardian, receive an all expense paid trip to Walt
Disney World resort.

Now is the time to Apply for the 2014 Academy. You must submit your application and essay online www.disneydreamersacademy.com  by October 31,2013.

I had the unique opportunity to meet Princeton Parker, a graduate of the 2011 Dreamers Academy class. Princeton is only 19 years old and EVERYONE in the place was wowed by his speaking abilities. He was so inspiring to all who heard him. Princeton was joined by Terrence J of E! news Daily, Terrence's Mom Lisa Gonzales and Lauren London of The Game.

Each of them spoke eloquently on the drive and passion it took to get where they are. they each also discussed personal trials and hardships they experienced along the way. I have to say thought that Terrence's Mom Lisa was the stand out speaker of the Day. Lisa spoke on being a single mom and the dreams we dream for our children. There was not a dry eye in the house when she finished.

Then next Dreamers academy takes Place March 6-9, 2014.

Lisa Gonzales and I showing some ARMY love.
Lauren London and I. Lauren is an Awesome mom of a young son too.
