Diego Race for the Cure event held on the 4th of the month in Balboa Park. More specifically:
- “Sleep in for the Cure” La Valencia Room Package: For those who want to contribute but prefer not to do the actual Nov. 4 race, the Komen foundation came up with the idea of “Sleep in for the Cure” where non-runners can still contribute toward the race. - La Valencia 3-Day Cheer Station: On Friday, November 15th – during this year’s Susan G. Komen national, 3-Day Walk/Run -- La Valencia will set up a “Cheer Station” on the section of the 3-day route which is one block from the hotel. Hotel employees will pass out pink goodies to the 4,000 walkers who pass by.
- Facebook Campaign: The hotel will partner with Komen to create a two-week Facebook game to win a night at the hotel beginning the first week of October. - Pink Ribbon: In a picture perfect gesture, the Pink Lady’s tower will be adorned with a giant pink ribbon for the month of October to honor the worthy cause of breast cancer awareness and research for a cure.
