Great Day Trips in Southern California for Thanksgiving Vacation

If you are anything like me, your kids are off for the WHOLE week of Thanksgiving. So I am always looking for things to entertain them. Here in Southern California We have so many options. Disneyland and California Adventure are great if your kids are younger. California Adventure opened up Cars land just last year and if you haven't taken the kids November is a great time to do it. Disney decorates for Christmas early so you can have a great "early" Christmas trip.

There is also Knotts Berry farm in Orange County as well as the Nixon Library, if you are looking for something educational.

In LA County, we have Universal Studios, Magic Mountain and the Regan Library. But something you may not have thought of is Madame Tussauds. They just unveiled their Judy Garland as Dorthy in the Wizard of OZ in tribute to the 75th Anniversary.

In Long Beach, the Queen Mary has Chill going on starting November 22, 2013
If you haven't been before do not miss out on the ice skating and Ice castles. The Army will be covering this attraction in much more detail as we are going to CHILL. The boys and I can't wait!

What ever you decide to do remember, all too soon they will be big and not want to go out with you in public any more. Cherish your time while you can.
