LONG BEACH, CALIF. (Aug. 7, 2014) - Michael's Restaurant Group's Chianina Steakhouse
has been serving Long Beach diners the finest cuts of meat, with the
exception of its namesake beef, since December 2013. Starting on
Tuesday, Aug. 19, Chianina Steakhouse will be one of the few, if not the
only, restaurant in the United States to feature Chianina beef on a
regular basis. The entire steer will also be used as part of a "Whole
Animals" menu at sister restaurants Michael's on Naples and Michael's Pizzeria.
"Our customers have been asking for Chianina since before we opened and I'm happy to say that the wait is over," Chianina Steakhouse Owner Michael Dene proudly exclaims. "Chianina is how steak is meant to taste."
"The
Chianina steaks are among the best I've ever had the pleasure of
preparing and I'm equally as excited to use it in other dishes," said
Executive Chef David Coleman. "I'm confident everyone will fall in love
with Chianina at first bite, no matter if it's served in a sauce, as a
steak or on top of a pizza."
To
ensure that every part of the cattle is used, additional dishes at
Michael's on Naples, Michael's Pizzeria and Chianina's bar menu will
also feature Chianina beef in sauces, main dishes, appetizers and sides,
including a Chianina burger and Bolognese sauce.
Chianina
beef is world-renowned for its muscle mass and lean, tender meat that
ensures a higher quality cut and taste. Commonly used in Italy, the
white cattle are also larger than most breeds but lower in fat with 30
percent less cholesterol.
Due
to the highly anticipated demand for Chianina steak, diners are
encouraged to call the restaurant ahead of time to confirm availability.
All of the steaks are served on a first-come, first-served basis and no
reservations for the meat may be placed ahead of time.
The 80-seat Italian steakhouse is located at 5716 2nd
Street in Long Beach's Naples neighborhood. Its hours of operations
are: Tuesday-Thursday & Sunday 5-10 p.m. and Friday & Saturday
5-11 p.m. For reservations, please visit http://www.Chianina.com or call (562) 434-2333.
