Instagram Star Alyssa Marie Artistry Leads Workshop

Facing Beauty Studios hosts a course on creating dramatic makeup looks

 Brea, CA (August 14, 2014) -- Alyssa Marie Artistry, a trendsetter and beauty phenom with over 46 thousand Instagram followers, is holding a workshop on August 23, 2014, entitled "Looks to Kill: A Beauty Workshop for your Dark Side" to teach others how to create her signature dramatic looks.

The workshop includes hands-on instruction by Alyssa. Participants will learn to use various makeup techniques developed and honed by Alyssa's years as a professional makeup artist. She will teach participants to create striking makeup looks, perfect for both professional and recreational uses. Some examples of the workshop teachings include vivid eyeliner designs, dramatic eye shadow looks, and lipstick that bites.

"I embrace the opportunity to educate others on my specific techniques and theories regarding modern day beauty," says Alyssa.

The event will take place at Facing Beauty Studios, a studio and school specializing in makeup artistry located in Brea. The event will run from 12pm to 4pm and costs $150. Alyssa Marie Artistry has worked for the past five years as a professional freelance makeup artist for both makeup artistry and body painting. She has worked on numerous projects, including film, television, commercial, and print advertising. She taught herself everything she knows about makeup artistry, and will now impart her knowledge to those who wish to learn her techniques. She has a cosmetology license and also styles hair.

"I enjoy pushing the boundaries of conventional beauty by incorporating interesting concepts, texture, placement, and color combination," says Alyssa. "I look forward to sharing my makeup philosophies with the participants at the event."
