Things to Do As A Family When Visiting Bristol in the UK

Bristol is a busy city with plenty of fun things to do. Just about anybody can have a fantastic time here - but families love it in particular! It has a vast history including pirates (sure to get the kids excited), and you’ll find many great things to do together. Here are some things you can enjoy as a family:

Bristol Zoo Gardens is loved by adults and children alike. You can do so much there - more than just browse the hundreds of animals. You can learn so much as you make your way around the 12 acres of garden. It’s definitely one of the best days out in Bristol! You could easily spend the whole day here, so make sure you set aside plenty of time to explore properly. I would recommend going to see the talk on lion cubs, and perhaps even watch the gorillas eat their lunch!

Bristol Aquarium

In the famous Bristol harbour you’ll find the Bristol aquarium. If you’re a family of nature lovers, you’ll love going to see the sharks, seahorses, and variety of other wildlife. You can even meet a huge pacific octopus!

Bristol Science Centre

The Bristol Science Centre brings science to life. There are literally hundreds of exhibits to explore, and the best thing about them is that they are hands on. This means you can all learn a great deal! It’s also listed as one of the whole of Britains top 10 family attractions, so you know it must be good.

The Wild Place Project

This place combines adventure, play, and learning for the whole family. You can see animals from all around the world and find out how this project is helping to conserve them. You can also take a walk in the woods, have a go on the climbing wall, or relax in the tower meadow.

Bristol Pirate Walks

If your kids find pirates interesting, then you might all enjoy a Bristol Pirate walk. You’ll learn all about Bristol’s rocky past, and find out about pirates that once invaded in the 18th century. It’s a fun yet educational tour to take!

The Bristol Hippodrome

Your family can have a night out at the Bristol Hippodrome, where you can see plenty of shows, from spiritual to comical. This includes Sally Morgan, Roy Chubby Brown, Shrek the Musical, and more. Afterwards, you’ll want a comfortable place to stay. You can find plenty of options on a site like Citybase Apartments, for example.

Puxton Park

Puxton park is filled with lots of fun things to do. Go to the adventure park, eat in the lovely restaurants, see the animals, and learn a lot along the way. The adults can even have fun shopping for fresh produce in the farm shop afterwards!

Cheddar Gorge

This is Britain’s biggest gorge, at a whopping 450 ft. The Stalactite caverns are a sight to behold. Again, you’ll learn a lot here, but you can also go caving and rock climbing!

This is just a shortlist of the many things you can do here as a family. Have fun!If you like what you just read please click to send a quick vote for me on Top Mommy Blogs- The best mommy blog directory featuring top mom bloggers
