It doesn't matter whether your children believe in Santa or not, they will love waking up to see that he has taken some of their snacks.

One thing that makes your home look magical and festive is candlelight. Light candles around your house to give it an excellent atmosphere. You might also want to light a real fire so that you can all gather by the fire while you open gifts. Remember, Christmas is not just any other day. Christmas Day is special, and so you need to make the most of it. If your kids tend to run around a lot and touch things, you need to make sure that they are safe around the fire.
